My drivers side door won't close! Help!

Does anyone have any advice. The door won't close at all!

What about it won't close? Does it line up properly? Is the latch stuck? If you look at the side of the door, there's a spot where it latches to the body of the car... you should see the latch actuate if you pull the door handle.

It's the black plastic thingy is loose. It probably broke offf inside the door.

Can they piece be fixed by someone other than the dealer? Thank you so much for the help!

Neighbor came by and showed me how to close the door until I get the black plastic bar fixed, I have to use two hands! One to push the bar forward while the other one shuts the door.
