Hi,

new owner here and have been looking for a dash mat to suit the RHD 2012 5dr YR Yaris. Went to my local parts store and they have none listed and the 2nd gen mat is wrong.

Has anyone found one in Australia yet?

Sam

So 130 views and no answer.

Is everyone with a RHD yaris driving with no mat? I'm getting some bad reflection sometimes.

Only a handful of people have one for the 2006-2011 model, so it's very unlikely that there's anyone that has one for a 2012 yet.

I asked in June ( Adelaide) . All offers only to old models. Last week phoned. One outlet offers -$60 for 2012 model -but I am, not so sure about it. Best solution is to wait some time -when new Yaris would be more popular.

yaris and popular. that's a joke. other companies are offering way better cars than yaris and in cheaper price tag. Toyota is ripping people off. :((((

I think just about every other manufacturer is offering way better looking cars than the current Yaris... but I don't think anyone is offering "way better cars" in terms of Toyota quality, reliability, and cost of maintenance and repairs.

i disagree. fiesta, focus even, polo, rio and many more. there build quality is way better than that of toyota's cheap bendy plastic material. i bought yaris thinking of the same "Ya man toyota build quality and cheaper parts. yes bring it on" and i regret my decision everyday of my life now :(

Because the pathetic thing has started rattling like its a decade old car. Speakers make vibration noises. dashboard vibrate. When i go above 80 KPH, wind noise is significantly louder (no coming from side mirrors)
cracking noises come from the door arm rests. i joined the forum to findout solutions to these problem which i dont believe i would find.:mad::mad::mad:
the best part is that i bought it in January this year:thumbdown:

On the original topic, have you tried something as simple as a standard bath towel? Someone with basic sewing skills can whip up something that looks custom.

i bought mine last august, and i haven't ran into any of the problems you mentioned with the exception of wind noise. but then again, i paid $14k for a brand new car that will last forever, so i'm not complaining.

No problems with my 2012 LE ,Great little car . If you had bought a KIA bet you would really be upset. You are the only person complaining about there Yaris ,maybe the problem is you not the car.lol:rolleyes:

Not from this disgruntled owner :flame:

When I want a good cringe :eyebulge: I go over to the Fiesta & Focus & Rio forums - Some scary stuff there, Halloween coming up & all

4,100 miles in 5 months & NO trouble whatsoever....except, this car keeps on getting DUSTY! :bellyroll:

They make some nice quality huge, thick bath towels, in lots of different colors. Make a template (pattern in sewing..) of the dash top and go from there.

Shit, this one guy aali-01, a 5 post veteran of the YarisWorld forums, had some problems with the least expensive Toyota that's available!

Well, that's it folks, I'm selling the Yaris and the Mrs.'s Corolla. Hopefully we will get a decent trade in for them when we go over to the "Landcruiser dealership," since that is the best brand of car! Probably not, since Toyota makes crummy cars, no where near as nice as Landcruiser. Wish me luck!

Been nice chatting to everyone here!

You know, I spoke w the best Fit salesman today. Told him I may go Fit if Yaris not here soon. He had driven both in Europe and said I couldn't go wrong w either. I guess the Fit is a Jazz over there. It was a breath of fresh air. I think he is happy. I don't think putting energy into hating a car is worth it. I can't go wrong, I like that. Smile.

I'm 52 & this is my 1st Toyota...I have driven 100's of different kinds of cars, so I can see pretty well - Landcruiser is not a brand, 'Kleenex' is, I suggest you sell your Yaris so you can stop sobbing in them:moon:

The point is, it's a forum for people that like the car, so it's counterproductive and annoying.

No different than going to Civic forum and shouting, "Hondas are big ol' shit boxes!" Or if I went into some Austalian forum, rambling about how kangeroos are dumb and the Sydney Opera House is garbage (both of which are untrue, by the way).

Again. Counterproductive. Annoying.

hello aali-01... If you don't mind, can you tell me some info on your Yaris, like, its specs and where it is located? If you are near me, I won't hesitate to buy it off of you for the right price.

Sorry man, I am also new here and did not see your location before; now that i know you are in Aussie land, forget it; I am a Canuck in Canada
