2007 Yaris Keyless entry key

Hi all, my key-less entry key has damaged buttons which are falling out however the module still works fine, so I ordered a replacement key/shell off ebay, Ive had the key cut and put in the key-less locking module into the new shell. Now testing the new key the car will not start and with some research on these forums the key needs to have a transponder and also have it programmed.
Is there any way to remove the transponder from the old key and place it in the new shell?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
