So I ordered some matte black Plasti Dip just to see how well it works, really a curiousity type thing.. I did the rims and tires first, as thats what my intentions were mainly for.. Had a ton of paint left so I painted the side mirror covers.. Still had a bunch left so I painted the roof..

Now everything came out pretty good, less the roof, which I was expecting.. Its such a large area to try and pull off with a spray can.. I took one picture with it one this morning, but then pulled it off..

I also got some high temp matte black paint for inside the engine bay and painted the strut bar and the upper piece of the intake..

Tell me what you guys think!

did you have to take off the rims to spray?
is there a negative effect if you don't? just curious

Yea I think the side mirrors turned out pretty good too.. And if you leave the rims on the car, make sure to cover the rotors and calipers.. Shouldn't have to worry about drums too much.. Just mask for overspray on parts you don't want paint on.. That's about it..

I like pic 3 keep it like that. Rims a.d mirrors only. Really how easy is this stuff to remove and what kind of damage does it do to your paint. I've seen other people with it. Stuff looks like magic LOL.

Does no damage to paint at all.. And as long as you put atleast 4 coats on, seriously peels off..

I'm torn between the roof, I like it but I'm not sure..

And I do have one of my mirrors tinted, car was broken into.. I replaced the window but never got around to tinting..

Looks Really Clean...

Thanks.. the more and more i look at the pictures.. I like it better with a white roof.. I wanna keep it simple and clean but at the same time stand out a little.. I think leaving the flat black pieces as is and going from the gloss white to a flat white would look awesome..

I agree.. There is only one thing I would of done diffrent. I would of left the Toyota center logo on your rims silver with he rest of the rim black.. But over all I like the look your going for..

I thought about it, but i didnt want to add that third color.. All my other toyota related emblems are black.. I just didnt think it would fit in with the scheme.. But I did think about that..
