NCVC Summer Meet 2012

Our 3rd annual Summer Meet is right around the corner.
A few details and official dates were discussed already.
This meet is planned to last till the evening :wink:

What: NCVC gathers once more for some good BBQ, drinks, laughter, and scenic drives/viewing.
An evening surprise by Pur Blu!

Where:
Moss Landing Beach

Jetty Rd

Monterey Beach, CA (official address will be up in 2 days)

When: July 21st, Saturday

Time: 2:30pm arrival

I really wanted to bring you Yebisu Beer, but found out they stopped importing it now to California.
If they have a box left at Mitsuwa, I will bring it, otherwise...Kirin, Sapporo or whichever you prefer.

We will also bring a small gas BBQ, some sort of vegetarian grilling option (she's a vegetarian), squash to grill and fruit.

Whats a suitable area for you to meet us? Travelling down there there mainly cherry farms to stop by at.

What time you leaving Sac? The MR2 meet is starting earlier in the day (9a-4p). The GF will definitely want to go to the beach (she loves Monterey), so maybe I'll hang out with the MR's in the morning then head down to Monterey after that.

Some of us have came down to SoCal 3x already, I'm sure you could return the favor by coming up to this meet or another in the year.....and you may end up starting a new trend for the other conservative people down there too.

Last time I went to SoCal with my car (probably 3-4 years ago), I filled up once (not because I had to, but because I wanted to). Spent about a week driving around there, and filled up one more time, making it back to NorCal. HAHAHAHA. Gotta love the mpg's of the Yaris.

One of us could let you stay at our place...our first ToyotaFest, we received GREAT hospitality by a SoCal member on here, they made the best lazagna! :wub:
When we drove down from San Jose, we made it to LA with 2 bars left. And not knowing where the hell we were, we decided to fill up..we drove 75-85 mph on I-5...not bad MPGs

Lol, my car is uuuuugly, you shouldn't keep them. Its changed mildly. Its everyone else's cars in NCVC you should see, theres are 3x better than mine :laugh:

I'm sure if you came up later in the year, Rain would come too :P

Just went to Disneyland/San Diego a few weeks ago. Seems like the cheapest gas in socal was in Anaheim, and I just BARELY made it to Sac from there. Registered 37mpg! Previous record was only ~34mpg..

Now I have a 6 speed tranny and 70mph dropped from 3500rpm to 2800rpm. Can't wait to check the mileage for the trip to the bay area. This'll be my first trip with the new tranny.

Hm... would the Yaris community be interested in my old c56 w/LSD?

I don't think there will be any dates. Once I start my internship, it'll be 40 hours a week for 15 weeks. I can't miss a single day, or else they throw away my internship. I also have one online class during this, so I'll have assignments and projects to do as well. :cry:

Yeah, no clue why. Even on the way back, traffic (for some) was HORRIBLE.
