So I have been building my system over the month and I just now am hearing a pop in my right tweeter when my system gets to about 1/4th power or 12/40. My layout is :

http://www.kenwood.ca/Car_Entertainment/Subwoofers/12%27%27_Subwoofers/KFC-W3013PS

or
Component set with both tweeters on passive at -4db = 110 RMS
Amp bridged to front for = 100 RMS / 300 RMS for sub
Sub = 400 RMS
4 gage from battery to amp, 14s from amp to fronts, 18 to tweeter, 10 from amp to sub.

Does this sound like the tweeter has blown or is it something bigger?

My stock tweeter has also been blown or torn for a bit... cause when listening to music I can hear little scratches in the background... not a real big deal. But I'm still going to fix it some day. I don't know about the pops... I didnt get those.

No it just a pop which makes it sound terrible. I figured it out though. The factory crossover will go into a "protection mode" which will make it extra sensitive and pop...
I don't know how it happened as I don't listen to it loud but oh well.
