So I'm sitting in Spanish class today and my teacher is teaching us to ask what time something is in Spanish. She asks a student in Spanish "What time is Barack Obama coming tonight?"

My jaw hit the floor. Barack? My school? TONIGHT?!?

I had plans to visit the Cleveland Auto Show, but those were scrapped when I heard this news. Anyway, 5 PM rolls around and I head out with a friend of mine to go see this campaign stop. We get to campus and it is insane. Harvard Rd. is a parking lot... luckily I drive the world's smallest zip-mobile, so I begin tearing traffic apart. I was parked and walking in in about 20 minutes. I was so excited I could vomit.

Mind you, I'm Barack's biggest fanboy. I was there watching when he addressed the DNC way back when, and my zeal for this man hasn't died since. However, this post has nothing to do with my political affiliation... just a cool story.

At any rate, I get there and I am disappointed to find that the main gymnasium where he will be speaking is full. I had to settle for a third row seat in the overflow auditorium, where the speech will be broadcast on a huge screen. Here is my view.

There has to be 5,000 people here. Anyway, we sit waiting... it was supposed to start at 6, and here we are at 7 pm and nothing yet. Then, out of nowhere, totally unannounced...

3460

Literally 20 feet from me. The whole auditorium erupted, and everyone was waving these signs... (get used to these)

3459

Anyway, he had just come in after hearing that Cleveland had blown away projected crowd sizes and they were seating his faithful in an overflow auditorium. He spoke a few words, thanked everyone for coming out, and that was it. As soon as it had started he was off and in the gymnasium giving his speech, which I watched from my auditorium seat like a proud papa.

All in all, he came off as an unpolished, humble, normal human being. Is this type of person suited for the country's highest post? Maybe, maybe not... but guess what Americans, we get to decide again. Do myself and everyone in this country a favor... this time around, get yourself involved, do your homework, know the issues, and fight for what you believe in. Its gonna be a big one.

Obama Sin Laden? What?

Just kidding... I'm not a big fan of politics, but between this guy and Hilary, I say Barack!

Hey, I'm really not taking a stance here... I'm just sharing a story! Not every day you find yourself in spitting distance of a candidate for POTUSA!

But hey, if you guys want to go to town, by all means... I know I wouldn't be dumb enough to get in a political pissing match on a car forum. I'd rather talk Yarii.
