i don't want coil-overs, and the only struts i've found are TRD's. i know koni doesn't make anything yet, BUT is there more dampers out there that i don't know about?

also, since we don't have much of an aftermarket, does anyone know what car we can use stuff off of? echo? corolla?

i will recommend the TRD since i m using it and it feels good, comfortable
and its way better than pedders(australian brand) also, its not expensive

why don't you want coilovers?

Cusco Compact-S coilovers are a better option than springs....

well, i just need a decent suspnesion upgrade. i don't need the coilovers because i'm not going to be corner-weighting them, therefore making them just as useful as a decent lbs-spring and strut. i don't want a crazy drop because i don't want to put my control arms at too much of a bad angle. see, in stock form, the controls are completely horizontal, perfect for the best suspension geometery, but i need to lower the center of gravity. so a compromise needs to be made, lowered a little bit, with a little stiffer dampening. and sometimes faults can be made with too stiff of dampening. this is bad for two reasons. one, if it's too stiff, your wheels won't always be touching the ground over uneven surface, taking away much needed traction. and two, balance is everything. i don't want too much spring, or too much dampening, or too much sway bar.

the coils offer a stiff setup at a high price. the difference between lap times around a even, flat surface will be so little, that the extra money i saved in buying a spring and strut replacement can be used to pay for a couple driving schools to lower my times even more at a autocross, or money for tires.
