took an idea from Tooter using the blox velocity stack onto my blitz supercharged yaris, match it with a large inlet K&N air filter

it feel stronger on butt dyno wise, the engine seems to feel lighter , but dunno about the real dyno :P, but it seems louder than my previous setup

here's a quick video

You have my old supercharger. I made that fixed pulley! lol.

Small world.

Exhaust sounds great! And the filter looks really cool.
Is that high pitch sound the belt? or is it the supercharger. It doesn't seem to change pitch when you rev the engine, but it does go away above idle.

High pitch is from the supercharger I believe ...the weird thing is the noise only happens after 5 minutes driving .. I have no idea what's really going on.

Xfacor, it's a small world ... Maybe I'll having your new setup in the future .. Lol

After a couple of days driving , i found that the Intake sounds a lot louder ....and my engine seems to love getting more of fresh air to breathe :)

I'm glad that it worked out.
At least the increased airflow is actually being used. On mine it's just bling. It's even as quiet as the stock air box because the engine isn't sucking much air.

Cool stuff dood , I was running a circuit hero velocity stack with the supercharger before I pulled it off . It really did make a difference imo

Looks great! Although the butt-dyno is also helped by that supercharger. Hah.

What size is the tubing to connect to your MAF? I was thinking of trying this as well.

It's 2.5 inches.

I bought a cheap Weapon R Dragon intake just to get the aluminium tube and MAF sensor mount, sold the foam filter that came with it, and bought the 2.5 inch BLOX dry filter and velocity stack kit on Ebay. The Weapon R intake needed to be chopped in half to fit that huge air filter under the hood! But everything worked out just fine with no CEL light triggered.

how does it effect the pwerband altogether? Is the power increase at the low, middle, top and is there any decrease in performance throughout the rest of the powerband?

btw love that s/c whine

The pipe with the MAF sensor is actually 2.25" , I had to buy 2.25 to 2.5" to fit onto the blox stack inlet .

My exhaust is a wee bit louder .... Even my mom noticed that .. She was like " did you just got a new exhaust ?? Sounds louder than before .. " lol

Yeah, my Weapon R intake tube was the adaptor itself with 2.25" on the throttle body side and 2.5' on the velocity stack side, so it only needed straight connectors.

That's pretty funny!

Nice. Noise actually reminds me from when scarface saw Gina dancing with dood who tried to bang her in the bathroom stall.
