stock stereo mp3 cd player or audio only cd player?

Taking a trip tomorrow in a friend's Yaris, but she doesn't know if the stock stereo is the type that plays audio only cd's, or if it will play cd's with data mp3's on it (where you can fit multiple albums on a cd)

I'd test it myself, but the car isn't in my town. Anyone know? Thanks

Mine does MP3's ... but your friends, you probably won't know til you try it. You haven't provided enough info for me to answer your question. All I can tell you is that the unit should say "MP3" on the unit, mine does.

Thanks for that. I don't have access to the year of the car or anything so I'll have her check the front of the stereo in the morning.

is it in US? check for the auxiliary port as well. your chances are really 50/50 cuz in mine i can only play audio cd but some others have difffernt stero that will play mp3 as well.

Mine, too, had the ability to do MP3 CDs, as well as the AUX input by the e-brake.
