Basically Iv ordered some new wheels 16x8 35mm offset and now it’s time to find some tyres. I’ve seen some pics of wheels with a 205/45/16 on an 8 inch rim and I’m really unsure about the large stretch involved in getting the tyres to fit.
My question is, 16x8 with a 215/45or50 on a stock suspension yaris ??
Yay or nay??
May look funny at stock height but if lowered it may work. What wheels are they?

Just need to know whether it’s even an option to run a rim that wide on a yaris with a tyre that will work ??
also any other tyres size suggestions would be helpful
might cause rubbing issues with it beening 8j wide and a lowish offset, i personally go with 205/45 i like abit of stretch if not go with 215,45. the 50's may look too fat
I have the 195 on 8.25 " wide rims ... I think it look perfect . Especially when lowered .
At stock its going to look pretty funny with a ton of mexipoke. If lowered its going to rub a lot so be prepared to roll fenders and run a decent amount of - camber.

1.5 camber wise do you think -2 and up ??? Plus rolling my fenders won't be a problem :)

True. I'd say 1.5-2 inch. But obviously completey depends on what I end up buying
I would buy two kits just in case so you dont get stuck. Replacing only the top strut bolts with one kit will give you up to -1.75 degress iirc and replacing the top and bottom strut bolts with two kits gives up to -3.5-4 degrees. Someone will correct me if my numbers are off. Also rememeber - camber is going to create abnormal wear patterns and cause you to replace tires more frequently.

with the front bolt kit, you can adjust to +/- 2 degree , plus the original car adjuster....within 1 degree If im not mistaken.
Im lowered with the Tanabe coilover, I wish I can go lower but I dont want to sacrifice the ride comfort.
for the rear you can easily add the EZ shim , but for whatever reason, one local alignment shop said that it can't be done to my car due to the rear disc conversion ...which is weird, since I thought it works on either drum or disc brakes .:iono:
is this the same shop that gave you the tuning runaround?
No. The first shop ask for 3 hrs labor to put the shim on, but he said it also won't guarantee to work ....
The second one put my car on the lift rack and said that it cant be done due to the rear disc brake conversion .
hmm you have some sketchy shops around there Tan. I could see if maybe your disc conversion is maybe getting the way or something but the 3 hours of labor and then saying it still might not work is just bs. Its a shim its not like it is a moving part or has any magic power. The 3 hours alone to install is rediculous.
i know right ...3 hrs just to unbolt the 4 bolts each end and put the $25 shims ...i was like "whaddafugg "
I think I can manage to take those rear disc brakes off, but I have no idea how to adjust the shims ...

the shims will all have instruction and will let you dial in the amount of camber desired.
