Can anybody list complete instructions as to replacing the brake bulbs in the tailight. My left one went out and when i tried to pull it out on both sides the right one went out as well lol. I tried twisting it but it just wont budge and at this point I just want to ask for help. So yeah lol thanks.

Try pushing it in then twist. It has little tangs which need to dislodge.

that will happen on one that is as old as yours...it will take some coaxing and you might even need to use pliers. I had to tear my bulbs out of mine when I upgraded to LED a couple years back on my 07.

Do you mind caring to explain more detail as to how you took yours out? This whole thing is frustrating me and ive been driving with only my top brake light working and its the end of the month and ive seen too many cops on the street trying to fill their quota. Im lucky not to have gotten a ticket yet and im aiming to get this fixed tomorrow. Any detail as to how you got yours removed would be greatly appreciated.

ok according to this thread the bulb should be a 7443, which is a pull out type. (no twisting)

put a rag over the bulb and yank the mother out. That way if it breaks you won't get sliced up and take the rest out with pliers.

Well I finally managed to remove and replace my tailight bulbs. The hard part was twisting the socket off the tailight. Then another obstacle I faced was removing and re-putting the lightbulb into the socket since it took a bit of force. Well, im happy it worked.
