So I test fit my wheels today seeing as there is a guy that wants to buy my stockies. Got these from a buddy a while back and mathmatically we thought they would work (15X7, offsets seemed perfect), but once I put them on I saw my front brakes wont clear.

I can space 1/2 inch in the front with no rubbing problems with the streched tires Ill be running... but what is the biggest spacer you guys are running on your stock lug bolts?

Off topic...I love the rear end look. All shaved with the handle color matched. I was wondering how this would look and I must say it makes it much cleaner. PM me with where and what color you purchased to do that.

Thanks! I still need to re-install my rear emblem.
I recently took my wiper off and decided (while Im in there) to go a little further and take out the handle. I sprayed it with some stuff I had around the house, I think it was Duplicolor white enamel. Its just slightly brighter than the factory color, not enough to notice unless you look for it. You can get this spraypaint around $5 at any hardware store.
So anyone know how to help my predicament? My 1/4 inch spacer wasnt quite enough to clear. I think I only need about 10mm... but I dont know of any auto parts that sell that size.

This car now needs some sort of blue accented graphic on the sides, Or maybe some kind of striping..It would really rock with blue tint on the windows also!

What is the offset on those wheels?
Looks good, too bad you have to put spacers on the front. Is it because of the wheel design?

Thanks for the comments guys! I really do love how the wheels look... I cant wait til theyre mounted!
I think Im going to leave my 1/4 inch spacers in the rear... and throw some 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch spacers (stacked) in the front. Crossing my fingers that it will work!
The wheels are custom widened smoothies with chrome lips and the centers were painted in my friend's garage with bright blue Krylon ;). IIRC they are 10 and 20 offset, but the reason they dont fit is, in fact, the design of the wheel.
I have bullet center caps for them, but Ill probably go for the baby moons (they clip into these wheels since they have the tabs).

HAHA! Those are exactly the same as the ones I was looking at the other day then.
You may have just convinced me to get them.

The blue works well on the white. I don't think blue rims would look as good on any other color.

Agreed.
And I think some blue on the sides could look good if done tastefully. I might end up using this as my inspiration

(Eventually) If I do go for this look though, I may swap the wheels out for something more "Motorsport" in the same color.
Hopefully Ill have tires mounted tomorrow and I picked up some more spacers tonight, so if all goes well they will REALLY be mounted tomorrow and Ill post some good pics (not crappy cell phone ones like the ones in this post).

Well, I dont think I can run a spacer any thicker than 1/4 inch due to the length of the studs. I stacked a couple of spacers and the lugnuts would barely thread back on, not safe by any means.
So my other option is to grind down the caliper. How safe is it to grind the caliper bracket (closest to the wheel hub)? Its got a spring on it, and Im not sure how much Ill need to grind to clear it.
If this doesnt work, my only other option is to find longer wheel studs... more work than I expected and it would have to wait til I have some money to get the parts (when I find them, not sure where I would order that).

Wheels studs are $2.00 each, without even shopping. Spacers usually come in 5mm->25mm in 5mm increments. Do a google search for 4x100 wheels spacers.
Those rims would look good, on my 1963 Meyers Manx Dune Buggy!!

Spacer kits I've seen (H & R for example) usually come with longer studs to account for the difference? Are you taking that into consideration?
The rear looks HOT, man....
