I have an 09 HB with a set of the 15" aluminum scion wheels and the stock steelies. I've been alternating summer/winter tires-wheels. The problem is it doesn't snow or stay cold consistantly enough here to warrant blizzaks. The blizzaks got me home a couple of times with 5 inches of unplowed snow and serious hills. Problem is they only last one winter cause most of the winter is 50 degrees and balmy, maybe 2 snow storms a year.
So I am just looking for a good budget all-season tire that have good performance but can get thru surprise heavy snowfall. Its a rural hilly area with just a few snow storms a year but it comes down fast with little warning.
These winding roads need good grip all year.
I have TRD springs with Tokiko shocks. The stock suspension/wheels /electronic steering was just undriveable to me, thing literally bounced right off the road. It handles great now with the scion rims/trd suspension/ and sticky summer tires.
Hoping I can find a happy medium between the two types of tires without spending a fortune.
thanks
