Hey guys..
Just getting into this Yaris thing. Got myself an 2007 for a daily driver. Been looking at getting some rims and tires..
Looking for a set of nice BLACK rims for the yaris with tires. I don't have a drop yet, I'm not a small guy already..lol!!!
But is there a set out there that would be a good choice? I'm new to the Toyota thing...
Thanks guys!!!
I've really liked the konig feathers. they are relatively inexpensive. every so often you can find them for a deal. I may eventually pick up a set of them but I am rocking the stealies for now.
there are other choices, that's just my preference

You should look through the Sedan Thread (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1482) and maybe you'll find something to your liking. There are sooooo many choices for "black wheels" it would all depend on what your taste is.
What's your budget because you can go with rays engineering, bbs, or work wheels which could be like 2500 for a set or more and then there are drag/xxr wheels which go for like 350 a set. You can also find a wheel you want and have them powdercoated in almost any color and that should not run you too much more than about 200 for the full job.

I was looking at the Konig feathers on Amazon.com last night. Like the looks of those. But I might check out the drag/xxr stuff also. Budget will play a roll in this buy..so nothing in the 2K range..lol!!
Lol I'm rocking xxr 531s I love em.

I have konig heliums, black with a chrome rim. I'm happy with them, haven't had any issues, and konigs are cheap! :-)
I can vouch ^^ they're clean and fit nicely on a yaris

Stock should be 5.5" wide with +45 offset if running the stock steelies with hubcaps.
I am on an 8" wheel with 20mm offset on 195/50/15 tires. I only rub 1 tire and I am slammed on coilovers.

I have black Konig Feathers, and love them. I was amazed to find such a light weight rim for such a great price. Mine are 15"x6.5" tires are stock 185/60/15

Would 17's with a 50 or 55 high tire fit my sedan with stock height? Been thinking about maybe going with a bigger rim..
Anyone have a pic of 17's with stock height?

That would be one honkin' big oversized tire.
Depending on width, 50s and 55s belong a 15 or 16 inch wheel. 17s require 40 or 45 to stay close to OEM overall diameter.
But who wants to be at stock height :iono:

lol!!! That's true..lol!!!
Well...was thinking since I do haul my family around in this bad boy..thinking about the weight issue with scrapping action. This island is full of freeekin potholes....
Looking right now at that spring rate thread...leaning toward the Teins H Tec..I heard the S Tec get below the stated drop...to about maybe 2 inches. That might be a bit much with a full family in the sedan..lol!!!
But really leaning toward those feathers..

Last time I checked (which was long, long, long, long ago), Tein never made the H.Tech for the Yaris. Oh, I'm on the S.Tech's by the way.
With people in the back on any drop you may scrape. Thats why I removed my backseat, now no one can sit there at all.
Kaotic I think that color is called machined face.

On which rims? My G-Line G817 rims were full machine polished, face and lip, with that black lining. My Work VS-XX are regular polish (look more like chrome).
Yea I was referring I guesss to the GLine wheels that is what I have always seen them called. I have wheels now called Platinum electroplated but they just look chrome too

Yeah, machine polish has a distinct look to them. They have a duller polish to them, which I actually prefer. The same kind of polishing process was used on OEM rims, like that of the Accord and the newer Civic Si's.

Platinum electroplated, eh? So it's kind of like powder coated, I assume. lol.

That is exactly what I needed...visuals..lol!!!!
So much to consider now. Well..been real busy with my other car right now. Parts were coming in and had to install them before they just collected in my storage..lol!!
So on with the choices. Thanks for the pics...they all look sweet!! Thanks guys. Gotta scrape up some scripts now to get my springs first. Then onto the wheel/tire combo..
