I think we brought our price down on a new kit to $3400. It's the last one in the country that I know of, and I won't be re-ordering them. I have a couple of extra fuel controllers I can throw in if you want to play with your tuning.

Possibly because of power to a price ratio .... For about $4G, it only make about additional 25-35 Whp but it's easier to install compare to a turbo kit that usually makes more power .

I've been thinking in the past couple of days.... Ft86 is in my mind .... May sell the Yaris as is .... I may part out most of the mods but not gonna touch the engine ...

I meant no disrespect but feel the same way about power gain vs price. it would be a good deal if it were around $2000 though I understand that it is a complete bolt-on setup. I just can't bring myself to spend that kind of money on it.

if it made more power...if it were cheaper...

Yeah a lot of s/c out there can be run straight bolt on like blitz/jackson Racing/comptech and they usually run in the 3-5k range. Turbos require a lot of supporting mods and a full kit typically doesnt only cost 1700 like our Zage kits. I think we have been spoiled with the price those kits go for.

yea but the turbo kits also give you a lot more power...

the low side seems to be around the 160whp mark.

Yea I dont disagree with that, I would like to go the turbo route too and had a snail with mani, bov, feed/return lines, fittings, and an emanage blue ready to build my own setup but I decided against it for my daily, just too much work and maintenance needed to keep it running reliably day in and day out. In my case the s/c may be better for the daily grind even if I have to save up a little more to get one.

I'm sorry this thread is so off topic now, my bad OP

If you've never been in one, let me tell you that a s/c'd Yaris still puts a whole lot of smile in the seat.

Im using the retrofitted blitz supercharger from the xb.. Just like the link posted above, I believe the difference is only on the TB mounting. Ours is 4 bolts compare to 3 bolts on the xb.... Custom adapter and a modified intake is needed.

The eBay one went for $1900 plus $125 shipping.

What about the rotrex? For about a grand more than the blitz you seemingly get way more bang for the buck...

(speaking of the rotex supercharger)

I think that is more the issue. nobody knows much about it. it is more power but it is 25% more money as well and forgetting the percentage and power...$5,000 is a lot of money.

around here, you can get a descent (stressing "descent") miata for that kind of money.

if garm would either put one on a car of his own or "donate" ;) one to be put on, I am sure he could drum up more business for it. real numbers always helps a sale. I'd love to see a dyno sheet on that supercharger vs stock.

I wouldn't mind being donated one to be tested (and kept ).

Definitely not enough info on the rotrex...

1) does the intercooler come with the system?
2) is the fuel management plug and play?
