new yaris!

so tonight after 4 hours at the dealership i drove off in my new yaris... 2012 yaris se in white... sadly to say they didnt have any 5 speeds left and the closest one was 500 miles away. so i settled for an automatic. after driving my 2007 yaris for almost 6 years im glad to move on and now i get to spend more money on modifications.....;).

yikes, i wouldn't have settled for a slushbox - i would've waited however many days for the dealership to get you the 5spd one, but that's just me. congrats on the new car! :w00t:

^^^^^This. Also it's good to know that other (500 miles away from the OP) 5-speed SEs exist...that Yaris SE Runner's isn't the only one. I wonder what color the one 500 miles away is.

they're out there. i actually passed one up (black) when i picked up my L - they're really nice, but more than what i wanted to pay.

I hope 5-speed SEs are still available when I decide to get a new car so that model can be part of the group I'll pick from. I'll either get a White 3-door L 5-speed (like Tooter has), a White 5-door SE 5-speed (like Yaris SE Runner has), or a White Prius C level Two.

they wouldnt go and get it because ther was no markup on the car so they would lose money and i didnt want to pay some dingleberry to go drive my (new) car 500 miles and beat the piss out of it. I think the slushbox has been regeared because it definatly feels quicker then the 2007-11 yaris.
