I saw the DIY topic already but I did not know that tachometers come in very short wires. I was wondering where am I able to buy the wires to extend the length of it to reach the proper wiring place. I was shock when I saw that the wire is only 15 inch long. Please help!!!:frown:
radio shack is probably fine or you can get some at an autoparts store too.
it really doesn't matter what wires you use. You may want to use the same colors as to not get confused. I would recommend soldering them and using heat shrink. that gives the best connection and the best protection from shorting out.
it isn't pulling that much current so size shouldn't be an issue. just don't use 30 gauge or something the size of a human hair. 22 gauge and up should be fine.
(just my 2 cents)

I called Autozone and they didn't even have anything at all...lol
How much does soldering or heat sink thingy cost??? It's my first time installing a tach because I got tired of listening to the damn engine sound

If you don't know how to solder, you can go this route. Strip and crimp. Good luck.
