Hi Guys & Gals!

I got adventuresome and painted the front grill of my 2010 Yaris Sedan CHROME! I had already invested a bunch of cash on other chrome parts (see pictures) and got tired of looking at the plain black checkerboard grill! The online options for chrome mesh replacement grills didn't do anything for me, so I spent some time investigating what Chrome Spray Paint came the closest to REAL Chrome!

After a bunch of reading, I settled on "RUST-OLEUM Metallic Finish". Guys, this stuff stays "tacky" a long time after spraying. I let it dry a full day and then tried to touch it up and it tried to "run" on me! So after it dried a bit more, I took it out in our Texas Sun, and let it bake for a day. PERFECT! The front grill is EASY to take off & put back on--just 2 screws at either corner and just pull it out (pull UP & OUT!)
Check my pictures out and tell me what you think   SHOULD I PAINT THE BOTTOM GRILL CHROME ALSO???

Looking Forward To Your Comments!

Stay Cool!

The grill is a nice accent to your silver wheels.

It works, looks a little out of place, but it works on the car.

As the others say, it looks great with your lovely wheels. And with the mirrors. Makes the car look more expensive too.

Doesn't look chrome, more like grayish silver.

The "Flame Thing" is actually an eyebrow for my eyelids on the headlights. However, I have ordered some white "lightning bolts" that will take their place!
