My 1974 Beetle went 250,000 miles on its main, rod, and cam bearings and it didnt even HAVE an oil filter.
And it only had 2 1/2 quarts of oil in it!
So (if you want my advice :biggrin: ) get the CHEAPEST oil filter you can!

This test was a pretty good one. Good only for a general sense of how the various filters are made, since we don't use the same size on our Toyotas.

In my opinion, though, I think that any of the major brand filters are "good enough" for a normal oil change interval.
