Driver Side Door Not Open From Out Side

i have toyota vitz 2006 and it has Double Locking System and i dont have any idea what is double locking system...

the problem is that..

i unable to open driver side door from outside,

i have try from remote and key but its not open from both

every time open back door and then open driver side door from inside..

is any buddy have idea about this problem...

how can i resolve this problem...

If you can open it with the handle inside, but not with the outside handle, I would think that the linkage between the outside handle and the door latch is broken. The image below shows the link, which is the metal rod attached to the handle. It may be disconnected on either the handle side or the latch side.

Scott, here is my issue: my F Passenger door is locked shut. I was installing a new speaker and did not latch either handle to the open door mechanism. And on the down side, when I placed the door panel back on, the door was fixed in a locked position! So now the door is closed, locked, and neither handle connects with the metal bar, no neither open it, or unlock it for that matter.
I have tried to remove the manual window lever and get at the bar through there, bit that's no good. Also, I tried the door panel arm rest, there is a plastic cover that can be popped off. But still, can't reach it.
Is this a moment where a slim jim come I to play?
