I notice that when my car's RPM goes below 600 the car starts to shake like it's cold or something. It's not violent but I would like to get some sort of rationale to why it's doing this.

I think it's called Parkinson's Disease (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001762/).

If the idle drops below 600rpm and then rises back up to 600 or above, it's normal. It's just your car "brain" CPU adjusting itself. If the idle remains below 600rpm for the whole time you're idling that's not normal. If your car drops and rises non-stop, that's not normal either.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! that is a good one.

Well, it only goes down intermittently and it only happens when the weather is cold. It doesn't do it non stop but I got really worried about it because it just happened out of no where. I thought I messed something up with my installation of the SSK

Did you disconnect your battery during the ssk installation?

That would explain the jittery revs. It is a common thing, just take the car out for a 15~20mins spin would take care of it =)

^^^^^This and what yarisugi said. When my car was idling rough after the battery replacement, CTScott explained pretty much what you and yarisugi are saying. A few hours later, I drove my car and the idle issue had mostly ironed itself out within 20 minutes and within an hour or so was pretty much as good or better than before the battery replacement.
