An anonymous benefactor hooked me up with some race tires for low cost. I've wanted to race on 15's for a while now -- ever since I put the xB final drive in the car.

Couple of minor flat spots that will go in the rear.

I also ordered some Kosei K4R in a 15x8 to race on -- super cheap, strong and only 13 lbs. Just can't justify some forged Japanese wheel I'm going to use once or twice a month.

Let's race!

Should be fast :)

Do you know what class you're going to be racing in?

In Autocross, I get put in SM or CSM (california class). That puts me with Lotus and other highly modified vehicles that usually show up in an enclosed trailer. :-/

Couldn't they have a class for those of us who DRIVE our cars to the track? lol

I know that's a annoyance with some of the racing series. I think your car might be an SM FWD car since its FWD which has a better minimum weight limit but its not my class so I have no idea. It's probably better you run CSM since the competition is generally pretty close to what you have...A street driven car that just happens to be highly modified.

You'd probably need way more custom made suspension and stuff to be anywhere near competitive with the national level cars since the rules are so open for those classes.

I think the only group that has that is Global Time Attack with their enthusiast class but your limited to 140tw tires which kind of blows.

There's also a PCA DE at Chuckwalla not going but it looks like its gonna be a fun event.

I actually think with his car gutted out now and with a roll cage, you are now in a prepared class. I think HP class, H Prepared... wait.. maybe with the turbo he is in XP now... hmmm.. I dont have time right now to check the book, on my way to an autocross event right after this post..

I'm not competitive in either of those highly modified classes. :frown:

Garm I'd run the local CSM class since youd end up running a pax class if you SM or Prepared or Modified which makes performing well even more difficult.

Street car classes for the proper engine displacement would be great. I personally think that it is assclownery that they don't where you are. In Land Speed Racing you have street classes for those that drive the thing as a DD or on the road in general.
