There was a recent thread on a TRD strut bar for sale which turned out
to be for a Scion xB.
Someone had mentioned that TRD actually made one for the Yaris but they
were discontinued in 07 or 08.
Is this true??
If it is, does anyone have a pic of one installed or even not installed on a
Hatch Back??
Or as well, an actual PART #.
I'm going to Thailand this coming November and will be there for 1 month.
I would like to attempt to find and buy 1 or 2 to bring back to the USA.
I'm thinking you guys are the experts!!
Anyone, anyone?????

I don't recall seeing any such part offered by TRD in '08 or I'd have ordered on along with my other goodies.
Perhaps it was offered for the earlier vintage Yaris/Echo.

Thanks MUSKOKA800 for replying.
Other than you, it appears that nobody actually knows if its true if one was ever offered.
Looks like I'll have to do some homework while I'm in Thailand next month.
Who knows what I'll come up with to bring back.
Just have to see.

You should also email Micro Image as they might be able to shed some more input as to it's availability.

Hi Marty,
TRD did make a front upper Strut Brace (Tower Bar) for the MK1 Yaris/Vitz/Echo, which also fitted the Scion Xa/Xb of the same age.
To find one now is near impossible though, believe me, I've been looking for months for one for my NCP10.
Part number was/is - 53607-NP101

Many, many thanks Andy
Now I have something to work with in my attempts to track one of these down. If for some strange reason I do happen to locate one (probably to be found in Asia = Thailand) I will post it back to you.
Cheers, Marty

:D No problems buddy, I have emailed a couple of companies over the weekend, who deal in exporting parts from Japan, if I get a responce stating they can get a hold of one or more, I'll be sure to let you know too.

Thank you Andy
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed, hoping you might have better luck than I have.
I really want one of these original factory Toyota TRD tower bars for the Yaris Hatchback.
Again thanks
Cheers, Marty

Hello Andy and thank you for the link.
I looked up the website and found the TRD Tower Bar!! FINALLY!!!
That is what I'm looking for.
I did convert the Japanese Yen to US Dollars = $308.00
I will speak to my wife to see if her sister in law can investigate this.
The sister in law works at the Bangkok Dealership and I want to see if it can be ordered from Japan. If it can be ordered then I'm one step closer to TRD enlightenment.
I will definately keep you posted on this.
Andy thank you so very much for your efforts.
Cheers, Marty
