thats fukin 2 much..i need to break it less than half..
Here in connecticut you can turn (right) on red unless u see a sign that says no.
I made a picture...
the cop and I both agreed on " I stop on red, looked both ways (even tho its a one way) and went thru " If this map was having me turn right onto a one way or even two way, it would had been okay.
Im taking it to court..
Last time i had a ticket was in 2005.
Im sort of happy i got one cuz it straighten out my driving a bit..i sort of completely stop at stop signs and such..
now i dunno wat to say to the judge..any ideas?

You made a left on red? WTF where you thinking? The only time it is alright to make a left on red is if you are on a one way and you turn onto a one way.
The most you can hope for at court is that they give you supervision so it doesn't go onto your record.

i thought that you can turn left on a red light if it is a one way street. yeah, take him to court.

you can only turn right on a read unless it says right turn only on green - that saying regardless if its a one way street making a left on a red light is illegal -

Well I turned on (left) red into a one way (not wrong way) and the cop got me...he was behind me..i just didnt really pay attention and was in a hurry.
Just to clear this up, the cop and I both agreed on " I stop on red, looked both ways (even tho its a one way) and went thru " If I had done that on turning right..i would have been straight.

Now , I'm in Australia, no tickits until 2day
BACK TO UR PROBLEM
I think even if what u did was illegal
the cop should've given u a warning

Bro i was in court yesterday for a speeding ticket..its $175 I pleaded not guilty and the officer asked for a continuation because he was unprepared so i have to go to court again bcuz i dont have $175 to waist on a ticket man i need that shit to get dismissed, most cops would of said I dont remember and it would of got dismissed 3 other cops did it at the same hearing i was at for speeding tickets also but i just got a asshole cop that wants to screw me even the judge told him i have a good record ive only been driving for 2 years and i havent gottin any vilolations yet. The speeding ticket was for going 49 in a 30 zone(radar).

Because on tickets, when you say not guilty that would follow the judge to ask the officer what happened to prove that you arent guilty and usually the cop doesnt remember the intersection, the street, adress, even how ur car looks or who you are, so they will just tell the judge i dont remember and the judge will say your case is dismissed have a nice day

you guys are lucky, i contested a speeding ticket a year or two ago. there were about 25-30 people contesting tickets on the same day for the same cop! this guy tailgated me in his cruiser with his highbeams on for about 15 minutes until I sped up and then nabbed me for speeding.
All the cops here do in court for speeding tickets is tell the judge how long theyve been cops, what equipment they were using and how it works.. nuff said, that pretty much says your guilty. unless you have video proof around here your S.O.L.
BTW if the cop cant or doesnt show up on the court date there is no continuance, your off the hook, pretty much what you hope for when you go in there its your only chance. I have had one speeding ticket and two warnings in 10yrs and the judge almost didnt even want to listen to me speak.

can i ask why you didn't just move over and allow him to pass, cop or not, sounds like you were all for causing trouble.. also if the cop can't show up it gets put over to another date, not dropped, atleast in ontario.

Nope, I don't think you know what your talking about!
You expect the police to remember everyone he/she pulls over in what could be a 6 month time frame from memory? Not going to happen they log all this down, and any prepared officer would bring this info to court with him.

Why dont you go to court, and hope that the cop isnt there so it will get dismissed that is the most you can do, or go to a ticket clinic

exactly you said it "You expect the police to remember everyone he/she pulls over in what could be a 6 month time frame from memory?" most of them are unprepared, apparently you havent gottin enough tickets to know what you are talking about bcuz there were 10 cops at the hearing i was at on tuesday and all of them were empty handed( no paper work) they dont have time to do the whole court thing most of them hate it they rather be in their cop car gettin air condition listening to the radio just getting some tickets

trust me I've had more then my share of tickets, been to court for all of them to fight them, or get them lowered...
must be different in the USA, in canada the cops show up prepared, the prosecuter also has all the info, and reads it to the judge, and if an officer doesn't show up they either put it over to another date or the officer sends someone to represent him..
don't kid yourself those cops are at court on time 1 1/2 pay rate usually!
