looking into getting 16x7 wheels for a 2012 le 5-door.
I'd like to put 205/50r16 tires on (according to Goodyear website specs, the p175/65r15 stock tires are .1" smaller than the p205/50r16 so speed and rev count differences will be nominal at the least.)

The question is, will the TPMS be an issue as it is not an o.e.m size of tire?
I'm just looking for some re-assurance is all. CTScott, I know you told me before it shouldn't be a problem but (as long as psi reading is correct)(i just don't trust the active tpms systems), hey, I'm overly-skeptical/cautious when it comes to purchases such as these....

Help me out people!

You'll be fine, the system isn't smart enough to know what the new tires are on. It only cares what pressure the tires are at and if they match eachother to within 5-10 psi I believe as well as you need them all to stay above 15 or 20 psi.

Basically, you'll be fine as long as all the pressures match.

If Scott told you it will be fine, it will be fine. :-)

Are you sure you have your OEM tire size correct? 205-60-16 seems really tall. I used to run 205-45-16

Stock for the LE is p175/65r15 Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max. I checked Goodyear's website and the diameter is 24.0" for the Assurance Fuel Max and 24.1" for the 205/50r16 for the Eagle GT.

Oh crap I see what you're talking about.... Editing post now....
