I ran an HPDE at Streets of Willow in my STF Yaris and just wanted to share the video. I have to say that I haven't driven a track day in almost 4 years so I'm a bit rusty, but with that being said I did pass a few people and put down a respectable time for a little 102 hp car  Managed to pull a 1:38 which I don't think is all that bad.

Also to give props to my GF for her first time at a track day she was only a few seconds off my time which is a pretty amazing seeing as this was her first trackday...I guess I need to step up my game I don't wanna get beat by a girl.

^ After you've posted a certain number of videos, OR once you have enough aggregated views, they allow longer vids. (can't remember which it is)

If you look at the 21m mark you can see the car holding 1.15-1.3g pretty amazing for street tires...I need a racing seat bad.

That is my favorite direction to run that track. You really get to feel the banking when you dive into the Bowl.

Getting beat by a girl happens to the best of us... And when she takes second in pax for the day its hard to come up with an excuse. Happily it has only happen to me twice, once in 1995, and once in 2006. So far she has not beat me on the big track.

Yeah on the exit of the bowl I would get a touch lightheaded, very strange feeling but was fun none the less.

I'm glad my she loves driving and can keeps me on my toes...but I know she's got more natural talent than I do so its only a matter of time before she beats me :)

I borrow a 10 yo video vbox from work. It has 3 small suction cups but I mount it right below the rear view mirror.

Yeah streets was a blast...managed to eat 5/32nd of tire on my sticker toyo r1r's, wasn't happy about that. Gave some of the people there a shock when their 600 hp bmws had trouble keeping up with a 102 hp yaris on street tires :headbang: I was actually keeping pace with a mclaren mc4-12 but wasn't able to keep up anywhere that was remotely straight.

What are your spring rates, your tire width, and how much weight reduction was done in this car?

I'm running #350 front and #400 rear.

That day my race weight would have been about ~2160(fuel dependent) so I lost give or take 40lbs on the wheels another 20 running a pc680 and another 25 or so on the exhaust and another 15 or so going to the coil-overs and lighter springs. The max weight on this car is around #2280 with a truck full of stuff and my heavy 16" rims.
