Ok, so here's there story, on Thursday. I noticed my left windows wouldn't open, I contacted Toyota. They said they would have to have a look at it.Apparently it could be the motor or wiring. Then this morning, i receive a pleasant surprise.
Here's some portion of the letter.
The recall is due to the power window master switch, located on the drivers arm rest, not operating smoothly ( sticky feel) this is due to the non-uniform application of lubricating grease resulting in wear to the internal sliding contact points. In some instances, the switch may become inoperative.
The worst case, if the commercially available lubricant has been applied to the switch attempting to rectify this operation, the switch assembly may overheat and melt.
This recall is precautionary measure. The switch will be checked mechanically and electrically for correct operation and specialized electrical grease will then be applied to ensure it operates smoothly when pressed.Toyota expects only a small number of vehicles will require the power window electrical circuit board to be replaced.
Our records indicate that your Toyota was manufactured within the range of vehicles that requires rectification. We kindly request that you contact your preferred Toyota dealer.
:headbang: Thank you Toyota, great service.OH WHAT A FEELING LOL
