07-11 hatchback hoods

Carbon fiber hood weighs 7 pounds

OEM hood weighs 10.5 pound

3 pounds isn't really worth it but hey, at least people will recognize my car going down the road.

weight reduction is a PLUS! ur hood looks clean as well. have you thought about a black and red color design for your car?(interior too)

That hood looks gorgeous and 3 lbs in a Yaris probably makes a nice difference.

Curious where the hood is from, Microimage? They only seem to ever have the fiberglass one available now :(

After having my CF hood I am leery to pick up another one unfortunately as there are several issues that can arise with them, but they do look pretty sweet too.

Hood is from another Forum member. "wildmongoose26"

The shift knob is light but it is a little small, tend to hurt my hand if i do a lot of driving around.

I know the old one I had on my Civic cracked from a rock, mostly just the clear resin, plus some place use a dark resin for the core structure and then a clear resin for the outer structure so if it chip it will look like a sticker on fiber glass hood.

why?

how is the fit and finish? 3lbs is a good start, just think of it as additive to everything else.

the front of the hood just behind the Toyota emblem sits lower than the original hood so it's fit is a little iffy, finish is good except for a few chips, I havn't been able to get any time to wash it again so it has some weird gray/white from waxing on it that makes it seem dirty or sticker like.
