Need quick answer

We have an 06 Hatchback. I need to replace the battery but most places I have gone don't have any or even carry any for an 06. One place gave me a 26R, I got it home and went to change it out and it was way to short. When I went to tighten it down there was no way it would stay in place. I've been looking around on net but I haven't been able to find the actually battery I need. I'm trying to avoid the dealer but if I can't find an answer I'll have to go to them.

Have them look up an 07 or 08. Many aftermarket items don't list the 06 Yaris, since it wasn't brought to the US until 07. A size 35 is what most aftermarket companies spec for the Yaris.
