Just wondering if anyone could tell me where a good source is for wiring up a rearview mirror with self-dim, compass and temp. All I need is a 12 volt pos. source and a 12 volt pos. switched source. I see a lot of info. for wiring up a remote start and/or alarm just not sure if I should use the same info. or not? Thanks in advance for any help.

The locations in my remote start DIY are probably your best bet as well for the mirror. That way you come across the front of the headliner, down the A Pillar and right to the under dash fuse panel.

Thanks for the reply CTScott. I'm looking at your remote start wiring guide pdf and curious as to which ignition wire is better to tap into for a switched output, ignition #1(green) or ignition #2(pink)? Thanks again for your assistance. Also I take it I don't really need to consider the accessory(white) wire, correct?

For IG switched, I prefer the pink wire. Correct that you don't need the accessory one, unless you want to have it powered with the key in the ACC position.
