Hi guys,

I'm installing the 2 button DIY cruise control (thanks CT Scott!), and the ecu pin is really getting on my f_____ nerves

I pushed the factory plug out (from the connector side towards the wires side, and I'm trying to push the wire with the square pin thiny in from the wire side, and once the pin is "buried", I can't get any farther, and it just starts to buckle. It doesn't let me get the rubber seal seated, I'm just smashing it.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated, I'm ready to choke someone or something.

Did you release the pin lock (by sliding the while plastic chunk)? Also, are you sure you are inserting it in the correct orientation, per my DIY?

It should go in and click into place very easily.

Thanks Scott,

I was using a different DIY that didn't quite have that much detail. I pulled up yours from microimage and its a whole lot better!

After some troubleshooting, my clutch switch wire taps in the fuse box were shaky, and the ecu pin wure works a whole lot better knowing the pin lock stuff. I hope I didn't compromise the life of that pin trying to cram it in repeatedly!
