Part fall off

Hi I had a part that was rattling after the recent snow storm. I had to plow though a on ramp with snow a bit above the bumper and I when I got home I heard a rattle during idle. It fell off when I went on a test drive to see if I could figure out what it was. Not my video but this part is the goldish part above the muffler.

I checked under mine and all seems to be good, no smells, sights, sounds or performance lost after it fell off.

Should I take this into a shop to put it on or is it unnecessary? Anyone know what it is?

That would be the aluminum heat shield for the exhaust. The front ones are pretty important since the CAT gets extremely hot, and the rears protect the gas tank.

Okay looking at it it seems like a cheap repair. I would lift it but I don't feel like shoveling.
