Hey,
I have just brought a 2008 yaris SR.
Before I go taking apart the head unit, is there any way I can put an aux cable so that I can play an mp3/iPod through the headphone jack?
I can't find the button on the head unit to select aux, so I'm doubtful.
Thanks in advance.
I am not sure about the UK models but the ones in the states have a cd/aux button on it. the aux jack is actually between the front two seats where the hand brake is (on the hatchback models).
a picture of your head unit would be more helpful in determining this. there are many members on here with more knowledge than myself. I just thought I would put in my 2 cents worth.

I believe for that type that you need one of the modules that connects to the CD changer connector on the rear of headunit. Take a look on ebay for "Toyota Aux input". You may have to pop the radio out to verify the model number of it for compatibility.
