Hi all. I saw a post about removing a yaris door panel (supposedly in 30 seconds :) but when I look at my 2012 yaris its definitely not a match for the pictures and instructions.

Someone had knocked my driver side side view mirror off and I've bought a replacement, now its just down to figuring out how to get into the door where the attachment bolts are. Can anyone offer some assistance on this?

Thanks very much.

(Automatic 2d yaris, manual rolling windows--the pin removing instructions for the handle were spot on, no power mirrors just manual adjust, I can take a picture of the inside of the door for reference if it would help)

It looks like the door panels for the 2012 mount about the same as for the prior generation.

^ Sorry for off-topic: Just noticed you have a scoop on your blue car. Is it purely cosmetic?

Would also be very good to see what gauges you have and how those are installed.

Thanks

P.

The scoop on the blue one is the Micro Image carbon fiber hood, which has a scoop. The hood came with a panel to block the scoop to make it just cosmetic, or you can remove it to make it functional. I removed the panel and find that it definitely has a positive effect on keeping things cooler under the hood for my supercharger.

For gauges, I have a multifunction gauge that I created that mounts in place of the clock (which gives me real-time AFR and all of the things you would see on a device like the scangauge (RPM, intake air temp, water temp, etc.). I also have a boost gauge that I mounted to the cover of the driver's side glove box.

Thank you very much. That little bit of info was all I needed to feel confident enough to start yanking things off. :P I did break one little plastic tab piece in the cup/lock button tray, but not an important one, so all said and done I got my mirror switched out in less than 30 minutes. Awesome, thanks again!

Ok I am in desperate need of help. I am trying to replace my passenger side mirror on a 2012 Toyota Yaris 4 door with manual windows but I can only find one screw on the door panel. I have looked everywhere and can't find out how to take off the door panel so I can replace the mirror. Please any help would be appreciated.

You have to pry off the armrest. There are 2 screws under there securing the door panel. After that you have to pry off the panel itself. Then there are 3 bolts holding on the mirror. Good luck.
