New to this forum so forgive me if I do something wrong. Just want to be polite and say hello and tell you a bit about myself. We (wife and I) own a 2004 Yaris Diesel which has now done around 160k miles and runs absolutely brilliantly. We've owned it for around 5 years now and had hardly any trouble with it. It was an ex driving school car so we took a massive gamble. Our other car is a 2005 1.0 petrol with around 90k on the clock. Bought a couple of weeks ago from a good friend on another forum ( www.club80-90.co.uk ). VW T25 camper vans etc. Nice little car but the diesel is much smoother (apart from suspension). This one is the colour edition in black.
I am semi retired now and work for a charity for the elderly and need a reliable car for work so the Yaris is ideal. I used to be a motor mechanic in the 70's/80's (I'm 61 now) so I worked in the pre electronic trickery days:rolleyes: My next job on the Diesel job is to find out wh the electrical adjuster isn't working on the passenger side (RHD) so I think I'm going to have fun:frown:My son owns a garage so any tricky repairs I get him to do!
Oh, I'm from York, UK by the way. Anyway, Hello and thanks for letting me on the forum.

But on a serious note, welcome to the forum Gramps. A lot of users on this forum and myself included will be quite envious of your diesel Yaris.

Ya Gramps! These days they have these little things called digital cameras. There sort of like the camera you had as a child, but no hand crank, and in color. Try one! you may like it.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Hi Gramps,
I hope you enjoy your visits here. You have the distinct advantage of owning vehicles which are nonexistent here, and I'd truly enjoy seeing them.
Greg
There are many of us that truly salivate over the yaris diesel (D4D).
Welcome to the site.

Hi Gramps. I'm also glad that the people here are welcoming as I am from the Manila and people help me as much as they can with their ideas.
On another note, good thing you even bothered to join a forum, as my Dad just turned 61 too and all he does is torrents, torrents and torrents. LOL
Nice to get to know you.
