Hi All,

Long time reader, first time poster.
I own a 2007 Yaris TS and I have a question about it's traction control.

When I'm accelerating a bit harder than usual and the traction control light comes on, the whole car shudders very violently until you get your foot of the gas.

I was wondering if this is normal behaviour? I could imagine that the traction control applying the brakes, and me stomping the gas isn't a very good combination..

Thanks.

It's stick. Today I turned off traction control and the shuddering is gone. Now the wheels squeal instead :-). Great!

i did come across this bizarre process, almost like doing a fatality move on mortal kombat 3 :)
i have a push start engine button, no key so dont think it will work...
the process involves turnin ignition on and off with the KEY so not sure how this would apply to the push start engine feature

To switch tc off on keyless start.

1. Car in neutral.
2. Tap Start button untill car is ön"
3. Clutch in and start car.
4. Double pump the foot brake, hold down brake pedal on second pump.
5. Drop handbrake, lift handbrake, drop handbrake, lift handbrake.
6. Double pump the foot brake.

7. Drive with a  and enjoy:eyebulge: tc and vcs should now be off.
