Want to upgrade the rear shocks from stock. I looked a for while on the forum and found really only the Monroe Sensa Trac and Tokico shocks being used.
If I am looking to install a rear sway bar at the same time as upgrading the rear shocks, what do you suggest for the shocks?
Please advise...thanks,
Pat

If you wait a bit, megan is supposed to be releasing some stock replacement shocks, I tested them and was very surprised on how well they performed. Otherwise I'd say find a set of rear HTS's or blues.

So these would work for the rear?
I only want to do the rear at this time.

This should be moved to the wheels and suspension section.
OP, I'd suggest doing all four at the same time. I installed my TRD struts up front, and left the rear OEM since we couldn't figure out how to get to the top rear shock nut at the time, and man, my car handled pretty bad. Once the rear TRD shocks were on, my car handled so much better.

Thanks Koatic.
I plan to do the rear first since there is less action back there, and a sway bar. I will get to the front shortly thereafter, but retain the stock springs.

I'll price match on the rears, but the GR2 is not much of an upgrade in terms of performance (meaning you won't feel much difference). If you want a performance shock, you'd want Tokico blues. I can sell just rear pairs.

Megan has no concrete plans to release the product anytime soon. Certainly not before the beginning of 2014. Further, this product will be intended as an OEM replacement, with no difference in damping and no adjustment.
I'm not sure what you thought you were feeling with them, but there should be no actual performance improvement with this product.

Gotta tell ya - I did the front and rear TRD shocks together and the car handles beautifully now. Previous owner only put in the TRD rear sway bar and lowering springs and it wurnt enuf. Even Madame appreciates the better ride profile.

Yeah, already put on Eibach's and Tokico reds and TRD sway. Much better now...an then some. Just trying to decide now whether the Eibach's get me low enough.

How long ago did you install the springs? If it wasn't too long ago, then they'll still settle and drop a little bit more. However, Eibach's drop is, what, 1.1" or 1.5"? I forget.
