Springs...non-lowering...question

Ok, here is what I want to do. I DO NOT want to lower my car; but I want to replace the front struts and improve the suspension by doing so.

My question is should I just use the stock springs, or get new springs that WILL NOT lower the car?

Please advise....thanks a lot.

just replacing the struts will not lower the vehicle. It will improve handling, yes. But you will still have that soft spring. If you wanted stiffer handling, you could always go with a coil-overs. You can raise your car to stock height if you wanted.

Lets get this out the way first, what are your goals with this car and what is your budget?

My goal is to make "bolt-on" improvements as stock items wear out. The car is a 2008 Yaris 3dr just turned 100K, so I plan to do the following:

1) Intake - done (K&N CAI)
2) Exhaust - purchased and to be installed this weekend (axle-back Megan Racing from Micro)
3) Tires and wheels - done (16x7, 205 16R50s)
4) Tint - done
5) Shocks - rear (purchases KYB and to install this weekend)
6) Struts - front (to be determined and waiting to see what lowering springs to get based on preventing rub with the tires...just want a little drop so about an inch or so all around)
7) Rear sway bar - purchased TRD and to be installed this weekend
8) Brakes - stainless brake lines, DOT 4 fluid, OEM size ported and drilled discs on front, pads and shoes, all from MICRO
9) Stereo system - TBD

Just about all the above will replace stock items and it is time. My budget is flexible.

Buy a set of Tokico HTS struts and shocks and then you can adjust how stiff you want your ride to be with stock springs.

For a 1" drop and a mild, 100% street-friendly spring that won't cause rubbing, the Tanabe NF210 or Eibach Prokit is your best choice.

I DO NOT want to lower my car;

.just want a little drop so about an inch or so all around

I was about to ask the same question? ^^ there are plenty of springs to get around 1" of drop and increase performance

Prokits are great

But just replacing the struts/shocks with performance shocks will increase the handling ability
