Hi,
I can't find here on this site how to find if my yaris 07 hatchback has power locks. There is a button in between the front seats that opens and closes all 4 doors. I'm really tired of using key every day to open door and it looks like driver door lock is slowly starting to have problems. Very often I can't unlock the door at first time but I must move key left and right until it opens. Any info would be appreciated.
Also my car is close to 90k when should I do big maintenance, change belts and everything else?
I'm from Canada if that helps.
Thanks

If it has power locks, it will also have power windows. Aftermarket power locks with keyless entry is pretty easy to install and costs about $100.

That's not strictly true (although it would be great if it were). My 07 LB has power locks and manual windows.

That must be a Mexico thing. In the US they only come together.

It doesn't have power windows. But how do I find out does it have or not? I really thought that if this button locks/unlocks all four door that means it's using power to do that. If it doesn't then is there a way to add something to this button/switch that will lock unlock the car?

If you do have that center console button (and it works), then you definitely do have power locks.

If you want to PM me the VIN for your car, I can tell you for sure, and also tell you if it has the keyless entry receiver.

Here you can see the pic. Http://media.caranddriver.com/images/09q3/291578/2009-toyota-yaris-5-door-hatchback-auxiliary-input-power-door-lock-switch-and-security-sensor-photo-291616-s-1280x782.jpg
Mine only has lock/unlock switch.

OK - From your VIN, you have power locks, but no power windows, and no keyless entry.

What are my options now? Can I do anything about that?

Your best bet is an inexpensive aftermarket keyless entry system (Avital, Valet, etc.) You can pick one up for under $50 and Installation is pretty easy with the DIYs on here.

Thanks for your help. I remember you gave a link how to DIY. I'll try to find it and I will post here if successful. Can't wait really,so excited.

My '012 is a Japan thing, and has power door locks with keyed entry including a keyed hatch and old time hand crank windows which I really like.
