Pardon my ignorance. Wut's the difference between the regular bulb and BiXenon?

I also would like to know a bit more about the difference amunst the single, hi/lo and bixenon?

Ok, so on bulbs like the H4 (9003) the stock halogen are "dual filament" meaning that within the one bulb it has two lighting coils one for low beam and one for high beam. When upgrading to a hid setup and replacing the bulb with a xenon unit most of the basic kits will be a "single" this is simply a single xenon bulb and allows for low beam only, this works fine if you never use the high beams as they are much brighter than stock. However there are 2 versions beyond the "single" setup, "hi/lo" which is a single xenon bulb and a small halogen bulb on one base allowing for the xenon low beam and allowing you to switch to the halogen to flash, please note some folks wire the halogen into the parking lights to use as city lights as they are not bright enough to use to drive with. A more complete high beam / low beam setup is called "BiXenon" this uses a single xenon bulb attached to a servo motor that readjusts the bulbs position depending on if you are on high or low beam this is the same setup found on high end lux-cars! All F1Spec H4 bulbs have built-in glare guards as well which is very important in assisting to focus the light output on the road and not into the oncoming traffic!

Too much info? Not enough? Let me know:wink:

The BiXenon seems the way to go, but it also seems like the servo could go bad down the road

I actually ship the hi/lo's instead of singles, but always let folks know the "hi" part is nowhere near the power of the lows  I also run this kit personally

You should get them approved! You'd sell a lot more IMO. Not worth putting your life on the line even though they look good!

Probably not more, just to different individuals. FIA is great but if the seats did get appoved the cost would increase as well! We try to keep the quality and value aspect going.
