very interesting however:

10. What color is the superhydrophobic coating?

Answer: The standard product is a translucent white. We do not have a transparent formula at this time. Custom colors are available upon request, minimums may apply. It is recommended to try the superhydrophobic coating in an inconspicuous area first if color is important.

As to whether you can spray your car with it, I dunno. But it would be cool if you could. You literally wouldn't need to wash your car, ever. I wonder how long this stuff lasts? Amazing product.

You can buy 32oz spray bottles of the two parts for $35. I am going to order some to experiment with.

Will not work on cars. Rough abrasion and harsh detergents will strip the coating off.

But if you never have to wash it again, that wouldn't matter, right?

Another issue that makes it pretty much a no go for cars is that it is a matte finish so unless you are into that sort of thing then would be a waste. It also says that it must breathe otherwise it breaks down. Lastly it says that heavy exposure to water will break it down quicker. If you look they say that fabrics only hold it for a couple to few washings.

I placed my order this afternoon and just got a call from the company asking if I realized that the $35 containers are empty spray bottles. It turns out that you have to buy the two cans of the two parts for $60 each and then use the spray bottles for them. Too expensive for me to play with at that price, so I cancelled my order.

Fair enough. Looks like a great product with many possible unique uses. We all need liquid proof cinder blocks :)

35 bucks for an empty spray bottle!?!? That's crazy.

I like their idea of a "demo kit" too. It is merely pieces of material with the stuff on them. No real way to actually perform an installation of the product on something and the demmo kit costs 60 bucks.
