OK everyone, the weather is getting better and it's not constantly cold anymore.

Shall we start organizing another meet for the Spring?

I'm curious about these meets, what was the last one like and how many showed up. From the looks of the pics you guys met at Landsdown Mall?

Yeah, last time we had a very quick meet at Landsdown mall parking lot. It was a small gathering, 5 people total.. We saw a lot of curious Yaris owners driving by which was amusing.

Fog would be nice, but no 0 celsius temperatures please..

From Wednesday to Saturday there's at least 70% chance of rain each day, no forecast on Sunday yet. Does weather underwhelm the photo-shoot aspect, or the get-together is of greater value?

Sunday the 8th? I'll see if I can make it. It's a pretty busy day for me.
Kids and all. What time? At Lansdowne by Future Shop?

Ah Yum brings up a good point.

The weather has been crazy lately, can't seem to make up its mind.

I think I'll take a wait and see approach.

It's much better to meet on a nice sunny afternoon or early evening day. In fact it makes the get-together of greater value

Good idea...
Although I'm somewhat commitment phobic right now as I am about to take some vacation time.

Mojo, any word about the big brake set?

JBT's should be here in 2 weeks. I've worked out a mod schedule for the car so I can test out each part one at a time. After the brakes it's headers, guages, more suspension goodies, tanabe strut bar, cusco under braces and the extra rims and Azenis tires.

The brakes are 6 piston, so I can't wait!!

How about May 27th? I'm planning on doing an autocross at Boundary Bay.
It's a good time for the first timers to come out and try out their car. Go as fast or slow as you want and try out those mods we've been putting in.

I'll be stuck in STX but I think most of us can run H or sts class.
It'll be a great time to have fun with the cars and to take photos and stuff.

Just finished the UBCSCC NOVICE event yesterday at Boundary bay. The next auto x event is with the VCMC for Novices if there is anyone who wants to take their cars out and try them out on a track. It's in Pitt Meadows
http://www.vcmc.ca/index.php?option=com_events&task=view_detail&Itemid=43&agid=116&year=&month=&day=

I ran yesterdays even without the BBK system and ran it in STS.

It would've been fun if we could've had some of the Yaris guys to come out and participate. People were laughing at me at first about the Yaris. I was the little car, the underdog, but it was a lot of fun! I figures we could meet for Pitt Meadows, do the even and take pics of our cars in action.
What do you think?

All you need is a helmet, check out the VCMCC site, register and it's not very expensive. It's most of the day being used up but it's a blast and there's alot of great people there. I met one of the guys from Revspot who is the Megan supplier for BC. My guys from SR are getting the header from him which should be delivered next week.

Hope to see you there????

For those Lower Mainland Yaris guys, We're having an event out at Boundary Bay again. You can check it out for info at ubcscc.com

It's going to be the last event there and there's a BBQ and stuff.

Oh you don't have to race, just come out and watch.
Cheers

I got myself a set of 16 inch Falken 615's. 215 x 45 x 16.

The best option is to get 15 in rims for autocrossing.

Yesterday was our last day at Boundary Bey which was awesome. It was a nice long tehcnical, but not too difficult course. We were able to run both lots which was about 1 1/2 time the size we normally run there.

Pitt Meadows so far is the next location, but I'm hoping we'll get a closer location for then.
