It's confirmed, 5/12/2006 Friday will be the day I pick up my Yaris.
For the curious ones, I ordered a Yaris RS 5-Speed MT, Package B, in Black Sand Pearl.
I'm having it lowered by Toyota, using the Eibach-Pro/TRD lowering springs.
Check the Photo/Video section and the Canadian members thread for upcoming pictures!

Hey Toyotaguy  Thanks for all your help
This car is fantastic!
With the Eibach aka Toyota Lowering Springs, it looks MUCH better. Handling is very good as well, it feels nice and tight when taking turns and harder corners.
My first extended drive in it was awesome. Took it around Richmond to get a feel for the regular driving (stop+go) and played around the the stereo, lights, seats.
I took some pictures at the dealership, and I'll be sure to post them up later.

VERY nice piece. The lowering springs enhance the appearance, and I think you'll notice a definite improvement in handling. I've had mine (outfitted pretty much the same as yours) for 6 weeks, and I can seem to get enough ops to drive it. I know it is economical, space effecient and all that, but most of all it is FUN to drive. Enjoy!!!!!!

That was a silly moment because I just opened the door and took a huge whiff of the new car smell. My girlfriend noticed and called me to her attention and she snapped that picture
But to answer your question, yes, I must be so cool when taking delivery

This car is definitely a fun drive. I'm still trying to discover this car's steering and handling abilities. But so far so good! It feels great, and like you said ricko, there are not enough opportunities to drive it!
It's a statutory holiday in British Columbia (and I think most parts of Canada) next weekend, so that'll be my long weekend with this car.
Probably going to do its first wash and wax.
I'll probably take pictures of that event.
Anyone interested?

I know what you mean. Any excuse I have to go for a drive I'm out the door and on the road.
Congrats bigsky2. Looks like a great little car. Mines a three door silver liftback. I still can't get over how peppy it is.
