Had a minor mechanical issue with my track car at the last minute, so decided to take my daily driver (fully stock Yaris with auto tranny) instead just for sh!ts and giggles

Awesome! I'm hoping to have some footage from Texas World Speedway this weekend. Mine is stock except Hawk pads and Goodridge SS lines.

awesome! I did the same thing for my first track outing...i was in the middle of a last minute trans issue in my tercel, so i took my xB out...stock other then a full exhaust & the wheels & tires from the Tercel. Put alot of other cars to shame in the corners. Had a blast too.

That was 3 years ago...i have the Yaris now for the DD & going to find a way to get it out there once for yucks

I was surprised that I was able to pass an E36 M3 (though the driver was not that good) in the turn, but the M3 easily passed me again in the straight. Makes me think that it will be even more fun at Sears Point, which has tighter corners and shorter straights.

So as it turned out, a local news team was there the same day covering how the racetrack is going solar. They filmed my Yaris for the segment. lol

They built a so-called "green race track" on this coast a few years ago, but now no one is allowed to race there. Only used for Club Members and Manufacturer Testing!
