My 07 sedan doesn't have the pre-installed wiring for the power mirrors. I can figure out how to wire it myself, but my question is; does anyone know how much voltage should be running through the switch? Thanks in advance

Is the wiring missing in the doors or is it missing for the switch?

Really? I wonder if that is a sedan thing, as the liftbacks without power mirrors definitely are prewired. I wonder if anyone else with a non-power sedan has tried upgrading the mirrors?
To see the door wire connector you have to pull the door panel:
49960
The switch connector was taped to the harness at the top of the under-dash fuse panel:
49961
If you remove the driver's side kick panel and look at the bottom connector, do you have the black and sky blue wires on the top left of the connector shown here?

Is this the case for all model years re the USDM 2nd generation liftbacks?

As far as I know - Yes. I know for sure that 08 and 09 liftbacks without power are prewired, but I haven't seen for sure with 07. If your 07 doesn't have power, check for the switch connector, as that one only requires popping the change cup.
MicZel has an 07 Sedan, that was a USDM Yaris that eventually made its way to Russia. His is pre-wired, as I am in the process of sending him a care package to convert his mirrors to power.

The next time I remove my door panel, I'll see if mine is pre-wired as my car came with nothing, no power anything, no ABS, etc. I'll try to look tomorrow at the interior fuse box to see if I have those wires.

Interesting. If you still want to use the power mirrors, I have the harness from the switch to the mirrors available. You would then just need to run the three wires from the kick panel into the doors.

Hmmmm... This is the single one issue that irks me the most about mine, that there aren't even manual remote adjusters for the mirrors. If you're saying they're pre-wired... I'm gonna go and check :)

And what, good sir, would this care package contain, he asked, wondering how complicated it would be to convert non adjustable mirrors to power mirrors.

The package contained all kinds of goodies! For the power mirror conversion, literally all that is required (provided that you car is pre-wired) is the remote mirror switch ($50 to $100 depending on new or used) and about $40 each for good quality, new, aftermarket mirrors.

hi scott, to put the power mirrors we have here in manila is in my pipeline. but the ones we have here are power retract with turn signal indicators. does the wiring that you're selling have any difference? how much are you giving it away for anyway?
also, i havent checked the skyblue and black wires that you mentioned, but i don't have the big connector hidden anywhere near the junction box (behind the removable sunglass holder (?))

If you don't have the connector for the power mirrors, then it makes sense that the sky blue and black wires are missing as well. With the harness that I have you would need to add two additional pins to the connector for the folding.
For the turn signals, you would have to wire them directly to the wiring that feeds the front and rear turn signals. I could do $30 + shipping for the harness, including the two extra pins.

why do you know more than i do about my own car? LOL. yes i don't have those sky blue and black wires on the kick panel. just wondering, isnt the retract supposed to go into a module (that the switch's retract button activates)?
thanks for the quote, i don't have money to burn yet for this upgrade, (although i can afford the wiring, thanks to you) i'll let you know once i've saved up for the mirrors.

For the retract, it is simply a function of the power mirror switch. No additional module is required.

cool, so it's not like the older honda (jdm) that needed a retract module? i understand the wires just reverse polarity to activate the motor in either direction, but isnt that going to cause battery drain? i mean, although it is wired to IGN On and that the motor stops at the hint of it being fully in or fully out, but does the 12V supply stop too?

The switch module handles the polarity switching and limit switches keep it from drawing current when not in use.

The connector in the second picture (where I believe I also saw bigfoot and the loch ness monster) looks like the correct one for the power mirror switch. It is a ten pin single row connector with 7 positions occupied with wires. I have one of the switches for sale if you need the switch.

Just gonna see if there's any meteorite gray power mirrors for sale somewhere... and figure out how to swap them... :drinking:

You don't need gray ones. Buy a cheapo aftermarket ebay set (they come with unpainted black covers) and pop your covers on. That's what I did with the red one.

Finally finished with the wiring and installation of these power folding mirrors. im still to have them painted tomorrow though, as i just retouched on the paint with clear coat.
scott and the entire community, thank you for all your support. i was able to do everything by myself. (even freelance mechanics--our motown "banawe" is full of them--had fun watching me doing everything for 3 straight hours)
it's actually a good thing that i didnt purchase the harness from you as the connector for the units here are different from what the rest of the world gets.

As my response is on the other topic, im not sure. But definitely there is at least one other toyota car that uses the same mirrors, worst case is youll have to transfer it to your side mirror base. The 2008-2012 yaris sedan, 2008-12 corolla, 2007-11 camry, auris, yaris, 2009 scion xd all use the same mirror assembly with different base (attachment to the door).

There really isn't enough info in that listing to say if they are OK or not. (They say OEM but have no part number info or anything of that nature). Wiring means running wires through the doors to the under dash junction box and tapping the appropriate wires.

You can do the LED turn signal ones without a problem, but for the folding ones you will also need the power mirror switch for the folding mirrors.

Assuming the 2013 yaris have the same switch as my 2012 sedan, then i can source out the mirror control with retract switch for 1300 pesos here, or around $30. If there were no shipping costs i would say this is a viable option for you guys there.
Otherwise you can probably get from the junkyard as the toyota siennas and rav4s (limited) there have power fold and use the same switch.

With some of the other US Toyotas the switch is slightly different and does not fit into the slot in the dash on the Yaris.

Oh i see. I guess i was just looking at the connector (what we call pigtail here) when i was doing my research back then. Over here only the Prius and Hiace (as they have lighted switch) have a different switch connector, but every model has the same black switch as your yaris 2006-2011 there has.
Either way, im not sure what the Yaris 2012-up switches are like.
