Called dealer today to inquire about price of kit? He stated Toyota does not make one?
Anyone familiar with part#?
I just purchased this car two days ago, so not sure of what's available. But read a great post by CTScott I believe showing an oem install:confused:

I don't think there was an "OEM" cruise control, only the Rostra unit that was later recalled (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34686) due to interference with mobile two-way radios.

I have one that was installed when I bought the car new but I rarely use it. When I have, I've never had an issue with it.

Cheers! M2

Go a head and contact CTScott, he sells a kit of parts and you can install it yourself. It works great... I know, I've got one from him.

The cruise control stalk, the ECM pin, the spiral cable pins, and the clutch switch for manual transmission cars are actually all genuine OEM Toyota parts. Toyota did not offer cruise control on the liftback until 2009 (even though the functionality was built into the car's engine control module starting in 2006). So, for the dealers, the $500 installed Rostra aftermarket cruise control system is what they sold to customers wanting cruise control.

The only non-OEM part of my kit is my cruise control indicator module, which I developed for those wanting to have some indication that cruise control is on, as the pre-09 Yaris do not have an indicator for cruise control on the instrument cluster, like 09 and new Yaris do. Since cruise control shuts off when you turn the engine off, many people choose to install my kit without the indicator, since they don't have to worry about remembering if they last had it on or off.
