If you have high mileage on your Yaris and notice the idle screwing up and the engine dying sometimes ,replacing the fuel filter can fix it. I just did mine and it smoothed it right out.

Thanks for that. People replace things like fuel filters to fix problems but usually it doesnt work. :cry:
But this time it did! :headbang:

I tried 3 times to remove the plastic cap on the tank under the seat with a special tool and could not
get it to move at all. I had to pay 100 bucks to Toyota dealer to do it.

LOL i love DIY's like this
"remove this, remove that, spend 2 hours on it and bust a few knuckles then give up and let toyota do it"

The fuel pump has a fuel filter attached to it.

thats the pre pump screen. The filter is built in to the bottom of the plastic housing and is replaceable
..about 30$.
