I was at the store the other day and saw what looked like a nice Yaris. When I walked around to where my car was I was disapointed to see this visual mod they took the time plant on the back.
Don't ever do this to your Yaris. It is tacky.

SMH, SMH, SMH. I don't understand why anyone would potentially damage their paint job like that. Maybe mommy or daddy bought the car for a kid and the kid is (generally) spoiled and isn't properly clued in to the value of money.
Maybe they do not care and feel it is their car and want their thoughts on the car. Some people do not care about the value lost and feel their thoughts are more important.
I on the other hand do not put things on my car thinking some whacko will be offended and feel the need to damage my vehicle.

Definitely possible...... there is one place where I have spent a fair amount of time over the course of my life that has more cars like that as a percentage of total cars than any other place I've been..........Berkeley, CA .

From a security standpoint, it shows a major lack of intelligence. Those trained in intelligence could easily take advantage of someone that shows this much of their thoughts publicly, unless the Yaris owner is trained in Machiavellian-ism.

Tons of hippies around here do that. There are several low-end cars around here that have more stickers on the back than they do paint.

We got plenty of fools around here that do it as well. I dont care what they do to there car, but why do they think any one else really cares what they feel/think? Are they so small minded and unsure of there beliefs, that they feel the need paste up there car?

I have come across those that put certain things on their car to get out of traffic citations. 100 club and State Troopers Associations are some that come to mind. Of course there are those that support those organizations and want to provide free advertising, but a lot do it to get away with stuff.

LOL...the bumper sticker appears to be making a come back. I see more and more of them.
i always wanted to layer my hatch with stickers making fun of all those lefty hippy slogans. I see plenty of crappy cars with a ton of stickers.
But don't talk about ruining the paint job. The Yaris paint job is garbage. If you gave your child a permanent marker they would do a better paint job on the Yaris than Toyota did.

You should have checked your pant job on your Yaris before you drove it off the lot. If it was crap you should have moved on. The paint job on my car is fine and yes even your bad paint job can be made worse by abusing it cluttering stickers.
The only stickers I put on my Yaris is the 3M paint protection. The best investment you can put into the Yaris in my opinion especially when you drive 60 miles each day on the highway as I do. With over 43k miles on my 2010 it still looks like the day I bought it without a single chip.:headbang:

I agree. This is also one of the reasons that the surge of Facebook leaves me scratching my head a bit.
Also, there are a fair number people in California who are quite Machiavellian (who have never been in the military). Many fewer, IMO, around here (one of the things I like about Texas).

LOL. I especially like the picture of Obama on the food coupon, the quote from Ron Paul, and the #1 gun salesman one with the picture of Obama.

Sticker placement is key. This guy is way off, i have stickered up every car i've ever owned but only on the windows and it usually more of a collage.

Yes. It seems like if I breathe wrong on my car paint flakes off. I've got chipping and small rust spots on random places like around the back window where rocks/etc. should never even hit. I figure in a few more years it'll get to the point that I just rattle can some paint on it.

Wasn't really wanting to get into laws etc, just saying it looks bad. So I looked up why people do this to a nice car and it boils down to this. (I didn't come up with this...just sharing it.)
"Psychologically speaking putting bumper stickers with your opinions on your car is a truly obsessive compulsive self-fulfilling act, because you know that youre conveying your opinion to others for your own satisfaction of expressing yourself in an obnoxious fashion. Not only are you stating your opinions, but no one can respond to your opinions, and that gives a bumper sticker person satisfaction. Basically it is a way of rubbing your opinion in peoples faces." :bonk:
Regardless, my original point on the first post of the thread was that it's is great way to ruin a nice looking Yaris...just as much as if you shot it up with paint balls. But that is my opinion...free speech ya know.

I agree 100% about how it looks. Terrible.
But my point was that's their right (freedom to yuck-up a perfectly good Yaris)
like it or not (again I dont)
But then we have the right to discuss it, which the owner of that car may not agree with.

I should take a picture of this little pickup truck that rolls around here where I live. you guys would shit. lol. I personally dislike bumper stickers like that. I'll leave my comments / opinions on the drivers and their beliefs to myself, though....it'll offend someone :p

Maybe they do it just to piss others off...
I use a magnet bumper sticker. So when I go to an event and I don't want to advertise, I take it off. Sometimes in political functions, I leave it on just to piss-off certain people.
Cheers!
