After 6 years and 225 days I made my last car payment! Finally she's mine, ALL MINE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Just wanted to share. Pretty happy paying off a major purchase like that. Put $0 down, and super happy the payments are DONE.

I have an 07 Yaris myself .. except I bought mine used and paid for it in full. But I know how you feel about big purchases and paying them off .. as I just recently became debt free myself. It is a good feeling.

Congrats! Now that put same money aside each month in a bank account and you'll have a whopping huge down payment when your Yaris needs replaced!

Congrats!

Paid half of my '10 in cash and did a two year loan for the other half to up my credit score... paid it off early and it was such a great feeling!

Now, the next time I get to enjoy that feeling is... 28 years from now when that mortgage is paid off... yikes! :eyebulge:

I don't know about OP, but I've already gone around town looking at several options. I need to slow down because I don't even have the lien release yet.

Lol next month the kymco 250cc scooter will be paid off too! No need for another car, the wife's '95 Pathfinder with 160k miles is still running strong and fits the need for a 4wd that can tow (but I hate the MPG, it's terrible).

After almost losing everything 4 years ago due to crushing debt I've been very diligent on making more than the minimum payments on my credit cards and not charging anything I can't pay off when the monthly payment is due. Next major purchase that I finance will be a house.

But yes, this does free up more $$ for mods, really eyeing some go-fast parts

I owned my 2000 toyota for 13 years until it died.

Funny, I told someone a year or two back. I'm going to drive it until it dyes, then just walk away straight to a Toyota Dealer and get a new one.

That's exactly what happen. Right after Hurricane Sandy. The car died. I knew it was over. I called my daughter and she picked me up. It died when I was on my way to pick my wife up from PT. So we stopped to get my wife, and drove over to the Toyota Dealer that was open. They only had Generator power. Four hours later, and several free Keurig coffees we had a Yaris. Don't think I'll keep it that long. Keeps my speed down, but tosses back and forth too much while driving on windy days.

Rear Sway bar and some lowering springs that drop about 1 inch, Eibach prokit for example, will nearly eliminate that feeling.

Paid cash, owe nothing! Now, that's a happy feeling. Set up an automatic transfer from your checking to a savings account the happens every month, or every paycheck. Don't touch the money in savings. After a while you can write a check....

I noticed that you have a manual transmission 2013. Was it hard to find one? Did you get the only one the dealership (in Nashville?) had?

I think there were three all together. One was the SE, really hard to find. The other L was white, and possibly was an auto (I don't remember). They had some auto LE's as well I believe. Yep, very few within even 300 miles.

Thanks for the reply. Your're right, 5-speed SE = really hard to find.
